1x Replacement belt for encoder assembly

Lock out/tagout the equipment
Tag and remove all wires and cables
Loosen the coupling collar on the encoder using a star/torx bit
Remove the motor fan shroud using a Philips #2 screwdriver to remove the three screws
Pull the cover and encoder assembly off
Remove the encoder from the fan shroud using a Philips #2 screwdriver and a wrench or socket
Remove the existing encoder mount bracket by removing the 4 torx screws
Mount the existing encoder to the new encoder mounting bracket with the wire plug facing the rear of the machine using the 4 existing torx screws
Insert the encoder shaft into the gear and mount flush with the set screw side of the gear. Use a medium strength thread locker on these set screws and be sure to tighten them into the flats on the shaft.
Insert the gear assembly into the encoder and lock it in-place with the existing locking collar.
Remove the existing stub-shaft from the motor.
Clean any epoxy debris, or burrs from the motor shaft using a fine grit sandpaper or a small file
Prepare the new supplied Stub shaft for heating by setting it to where the large end (bell end) will be aligned perpendicularly to the flame.
Make sure you have a pliers and a steady hand for gripping the stub shaft and rotating during the heating process and also for installing onto the motor shaft.
Heat the bell end of the stub shaft by aligning the torch and rotating as it heats and turns colors.
Once heated to a purple/grey hue, place the stub shaft over the motor shaft and tap it gently onto the motor shaft until it bottoms out onto the plastic fan. (DO NOT pound the shaft through the plastic fan, or into the fan forcefully; this needs to be done with a gentle touch!)
Once cool to the touch inspect the stub shaft for bruises or scars and repair them with a small file.
Reinstall the plastic fan cover.
Install the new timing gear on to the new stub shaft with the screw side against the plastic fan guard using two set screws and mid strength thread locker.
Assemble the remaining supplied mounting brackets with the encoder assembly mounted somewhere close to the center of adjustment.
Using the belt and a point of reference place the mounting bracket assembly in-place and mark the mounting holes in the base platform.
Drill all four holes sized appropriately for the supplied rivet nuts.
Debur the drilled holes
Install the rivet nuts
Install the new bracket assembly and belt
Tighten all adjustment hardware.
Repeat steps 3 thru 26 on second motor.
Reinstall cables
Reenergize the machine.
Run a test cycle while observing the new hardware.
Check for belt tension; a loose belt will cause the attraction to shutter/vibrate abnormally.
Check and ensure that stub shaft was installed correctly. If this was not done correctly the shaft will have runout and cause the gear to wobble excessively
Check alignment. If the gears are misaligned the belt will want to walk from one side to the other when the motor changes direction. A slight bit of misalignment is acceptable, but the closer the alignment the longer the belts will last.
